We believe in a regenerate membership. Salvation is God's initiated and purposeful love and grace toward sinners, accomplished through Jesus Christ's death on the cross (Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary, pp. 1434-1435).  As the Bible states:  "But God demonstrated his own love toward us, in the while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more than, having been justified by his blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him."  (Romans 5:8-9).
